  • Be accountable (be a problem solver, not an excuse maker)
  • Be consistent (reliable, can be counted on)
  • Have discipline of self-control on and off the court
  • Have a competitive spirit (controlled determination to work within the rules of the game to be successful, and able to make a quick recovery from mistakes)
  • Show mental toughness (control emotions, come to practice and games every day mentally ready to get better and learn, nothing will break your spirit, positive talk)
  • Have integrity (doing the right thing when nobody's watching)
  • Be a team player (the ability to put the team ahead of yourself and to accept your role)
  • Develop enthusiasm (love of the game, share it with teammates, bring it every day)

Hi Vikings! I am thrilled to be the head volleyball coach this year! I have played volleyball for 18+ years, including playing collegiately in both indoor and beach volleyball at Colorado Mesa University. I have also been coaching for around 10 years from ages 5-21 of all skill levels and abilities. This will be my 2nd year teaching at Lesher, and my 6th year of teaching total. I grew up here in Fort Collins, and now live here with my husband Nate and our two dogs, Rio & Finn. I am looking forward to developing our student athletes into well-rounded athletes of character that represent Lesher proudly! Go VIKINGS! ​

 I'm really excited to be part of the Lesher Volleyball program. I've played volleyball in jr. high and high school.  I coached at the University of North Dakota, Helena Volleyball Club (Montana), S.T.A.R.s Volleyball Club (North Dakota) and NORCO in Loveland.  I've reffed all levels - from middle school to NCAA matches. I went to school for commercial aviation and air traffic control and worked for the FAA before getting into real estate investments, software and adult education.  I live in Fort Collins with my wife Liv and we will have 2 kids at Lesher in fall of 2023. 

Serving, passing and setting are my coaching areas of specialty.  I am super passionate about having fun, fast-paced practices with lots of touches and game-like scenarios.

  • Get loud. Have fun.  Show your energy and excitement.

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to become part of the Lesher staff. I played volleyball for over 10 years competitively, for school programs, and signed up for just about every program I could. I played mostly as a libero/ ds, but also a few years of setting, and played outside/ right side for one season! I'm from Colorado Springs but currently a student at Colorado State studying Human Development. I don't know what exactly I want to do as a career but I love working with cognitively disabled children, and will likely go into the medical field in some way. I've been coaching for a few years since I graduated high school, including club volleyball programs in Northern Colorado. I have a fresh perspective on school volleyball as I'm pretty new out of the volleyball scene as an athlete. Can't wait for this season!

Coach Holubar

Coach Holubar is a teacher at Lesher Middle school and has been for 3 years, but has been a teacher for 7 years. Coach Holubar was a track athlete growing up, and has been getting involved with volleyball by playing recreationally and his daughter is a volleyball athlete for her high school and Colorado Impact volleyball club. Coach Holubar was the assistant to the C1 and C2 teams last season and will be returning to that position! When he’s not coaching he enjoys skiing, mountain biking, hiking, and doing all that while spending time with his wife and kids! Welcome back Coach Holubar!
